perhaps you haven't noticed
but I’m really not okay
within my mind,
my emphatic core;
I’m trying to fight
the biggest war;
but perhaps you haven’t noticed;
the “good friends” we claim to be;
perhaps you don’t know,
that words, foolishly cried out,
can hurt equally
to every deed;
but perhaps you haven’t noticed
I’m not purposely letting go,
more likely, found, hidden, cowering away
hoping, the darkness won’t be set free,
because last time, it caused a war,
I didn’t win.
